# What should I do if I see a suspicious token?
If a token looks suspicious, stop before trading and review the information carefully.
Solana is an open network, which means anyone can create tokens. Some tokens may be legitimate, while others may be risky, misleading, spam, or malicious.
## Warning signs
Be careful if you notice:
- extremely low liquidity;
- missing or unclear token information;
- fake branding or copied names;
- suspicious social links;
- no trading history;
- sudden unusual price movement;
- unrealistic claims;
- pressure to buy quickly;
- unknown or unverified contract addresses;
- token data that looks incomplete or inconsistent.
## What you should do
Before trading, consider:
- checking the contract address;
- reviewing liquidity;
- checking recent transactions;
- verifying official links;
- searching the token outside the platform;
- using only funds you can afford to risk;
- avoiding the trade if something feels wrong.
## Can Feddex.Capital guarantee token safety?
