# Why is token data sometimes delayed?
Token data can sometimes be delayed because market information depends on external data sources, pool indexing, liquidity availability, and recent trading activity.
New or low-volume tokens may take longer to display complete data.
## Data that may be delayed
The following information can sometimes appear late or update slowly:
- price;
- liquidity;
- volume;
- market cap;
- FDV;
- recent transactions;
- chart candles;
- token metadata;
- pool information.
## Why this happens
Delays can happen when:
- a token is newly created;
- the token has very few trades;
- the pool was recently created;
- external indexers have not processed the market yet;
- the data source is rate-limited;
- the token metadata is incomplete;
- liquidity is too low to generate reliable market data.
## What can I do?
You can try:
- refreshing the page;
- waiting a few minutes;
- checking the token contract address;
- checking the token on a Solana explorer;
- verifying whether the token has active liquidity and trades.
## Important reminder
Missing or delayed token data does not always mean the token is unsafe, but it is a reason to be careful before trading.
